Welcome to Roopam, owned and operated by Karmam Martech (OPC) Private Limited, a company registered in Thekkumbagom PO, Thodupuzha, Idukki, Kerala, India. These Terms of Service outline the rules and regulations for the use of Roopam's website and the services we provide.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Roopam, you're entering into a legally binding agreement based on these Terms of Service, whether you're simply browsing the website or you're a registered user. It's crucial to understand that by accessing, browsing or using the services offered by Roopam, you are affirming that you've read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these terms. If you don't agree with these terms, you should refrain from accessing or using our services.
2. User Registration
To access certain features of Roopam, you will need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process, including your phone number. We will use your phone number to send you updates about new features and course notifications. By providing your phone number, you consent to receive such notifications.
3. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. We only share your name and phone number with studios in which you've shown interest. You agree to this sharing of information as part of our service provision. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information on how we collect, use and disclose information from our users.
4. Services and Courses
Roopam provides a platform where you can discover and purchase pottery courses, workshops, and events. These services are provided by third-party pottery studios, independent of Roopam. While we facilitate your discovery and purchase of these services, we do not control the studios or their services, and are therefore not liable for any issues or disputes that may arise in the course of their service delivery.
5. Content Accuracy
Pottery studios listed on Roopam are responsible for providing and maintaining the accuracy of information about their services. While we strive to keep information as accurate as possible, we cannot guarantee the completeness, accuracy or currency of information provided by these studios. Roopam, therefore, cannot be held liable for any decisions made based on this information.
6. Pottery Wheel Rental
At Roopam, we offer pottery wheels for rent, which come along with a security deposit. This deposit varies depending on the model of the pottery wheel. By renting a pottery wheel, you agree to treat it with care and respect. If the wheel is damaged due to mishandling, misuse, or negligence, we reserve the right to deduct the cost of repair or replacement from your security deposit. If the cost of repair or replacement exceeds the security deposit, you are liable to pay the additional amount. When using a battery-powered pottery wheel, please follow all safety instructions provided. Do not use the wheel near water, and do not expose the battery pack to heat or cold extremes. Always make sure to charge the battery using the charger provided, as using a different charger could cause damage. It's important to note that Roopam cannot be held responsible for any accidents or damages resulting from the misuse of the pottery wheel. Upon return, the pottery wheel will be inspected for any damages. If the wheel is returned in good condition, your security deposit will be refunded in full to your original payment method, which can take up to 10-15 business days to reflect in your account. We reserve the right to refuse the rental of a pottery wheel at our sole discretion. Please respect the equipment and enjoy your pottery journey safely.
7. Refunds and Cancellations
Each studio listed on Roopam maintains its own refund and cancellation policy, which is explicitly described on the respective studio's course page on our platform. These policies may differ among studios and courses, with some offering full refunds under specific conditions, while others may not provide refunds at all. Before purchasing a course or service, it is your responsibility as the user to thoroughly read, understand, and agree to the studio's refund and cancellation policy. If a refund policy is unclear, we strongly advise you to contact the studio for clarification before making a purchase. Please note that upon completing a transaction, you accept the specific refund and cancellation policy related to the purchased service. Roopam is not liable for the enforcement or fulfillment of these policies, nor are we responsible for mediating disputes between users and studios related to refunds or cancellations. If a studio fails to honor their stated refund policy, this is a matter between the user and the studio. While Roopam will attempt to facilitate communication in such instances, the resolution of such disputes remains at the discretion and responsibility of the individual studios. In exceptional circumstances, Roopam may at its sole discretion, choose to intervene and process refunds for users. However, such interventions are not guaranteed and will be treated on a case-by-case basis. All refunds processed by Roopam will be credited to the original payment method used during the purchase, and can take up to 10-15 business days to reflect in your account. By agreeing to these terms of service, you acknowledge and agree that Roopam is not obligated to intervene in disputes related to refunds or cancellations, and that any decision by Roopam to do so is voluntary and does not create an ongoing obligation for future disputes.
8. Pottery Box Service
By using Roopam's Pottery Box Service, you agree to the following terms: 1. **Service Description**: Roopam will send you a box containing bisque-fired pottery pieces, underglazes, and paints. After painting, you must return the box within 15 days. 2. **Processing**: Upon return, Roopam will apply a clear glaze and conduct a glaze firing process before sending the pieces back to you. 3. **Damages and Liabilities**: - Roopam is not responsible for damages during the transit of pottery pieces. - Roopam is not liable for any damages resulting from the firing process. - Users are responsible for any damages due to mishandling or misuse of the pottery pieces. - Ensure proper packaging when returning to prevent transit damages. - Roopam cannot be held accountable for loss or damage due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters during shipping. 4. **Return Period**: The pottery box must be returned within 15 days from the date of receipt, unless otherwise specified by Roopam. 5. **Variations**: Roopam reserves the right to modify the terms of the Pottery Box Service, including the return period and materials included, at its sole discretion.
9. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from the use of any of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kerala, India.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may occasionally update these Terms of Service to reflect changes in our practices and services. When we post changes to these Terms of Service, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms. If the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (including email notification for certain changes). We strongly encourage you to review these Terms of Service periodically to stay informed about our practices. Your continued use of our services after the Terms of Service have been updated indicates your consent to the updated terms.
